Welcome to DC Way Academy, where we are taking soccer skills development to a whole new level with our exciting Dutch Skills Clinics program for players from Pre-K to 4th grade! Immerse yourself in the precision and finesse of Dutch soccer techniques brought directly to you by our expert coaches.
At DCWA, we believe that the foundation of soccer excellence lies in honing individual skills. Our Skills Clinics offer a fantastic opportunity for players to elevate their technical ability through focused and engaging sessions. Whether you are looking to improve your dribbling, shooting, passing, receiving, or any other aspect of your game, our clinics have got you covered.
With each week featuring an intense 1-hour skills training session, our clinics are crafted to create a positive, encouraging, and challenging environment.

Dutch Style — Skill Development With Coerver Method
Step into a captivating soccer training journey rooted in the Dutch soccer legacy. The Netherlands' profound connection to the renowned Barcelona philosophy, pioneered by Cruyff, is further enriched by the teachings of masterminds like Horst Wein. This session, inspired by Coerver Method, emphasizes skill refinement through captivating drills. As the Dutch tradition has shaped talents like Iniesta and Xavi, our players will embark on a transformative learning adventure.
No matter the style, each training session is designed to elevate individual technical and tactical prowess in a spirited, enjoyable, and secure environment, led by dedicated and expert coaches. Dutch Session: Coerver-Inspired Skill Development (60 minutes)
Fun Warm-Up (10 minutes):
Start with a dynamic and enjoyable warm-up to prepare the body and mind for training.
Capture the Flag Ball Game: Players attempt to "steal" an opponent's flag while dribbling the ball.
Dribbling through Cones of Choice: Players dribble through a series of cones, focusing on close control and agility.
Game 1 - Passing and Movement (7 minutes):
Players pass the ball and quickly move to different positions to receive it again, promoting rapid decision-making and off-the-ball movement.
Game 2 - Coerver Ball Exercises (7 minutes):
Players practice dribbling and control exercises inspired by the Coerver method, emphasizing quick touches and precision.
Game 3 - "Reflex 1v1" (7 minutes):
Players engage in 1v1 duels, trying to outpace each other with quick touches and sudden changes of direction.
Game 4 - Zigzag Passing (7 minutes):
Players pass the ball in a zigzag path, developing precision and speed in passing.
Final 2v2 Small-Sided Game (5 minutes): (or 12 with a game less)
Players form teams of 2 and engage in a 2v2 match, applying the technical and tactical skills learned during the session.
Fun Cool-Down (7 minutes):
Conclude the session with a "Simon Says" Stretching - The coach leads stretching exercises, and players follow the entertaining commands of "Simon" (the coach), involving all muscles used during training.
