The Perfect Fit for Your Young Athlete!
Designed for 3rd–6th graders seeking a structured, competitive soccer experience with a more flexible schedule, the Challenge Level program is the perfect opportunity!
If travel soccer requires too much commitment or multiple practices a week don’t fit your schedule, this program provides one structured practice a week on Fridays plus Sunday games, making it a flexible yet high-quality training option.
With professional coaching, competitive matches, and a fun, development-focused environment, this program is the ideal balance for young athletes who want to improve their skills without the extra travel commitment.
Why Join the Challenge Level Program?
Train & Compete at a Higher Level: Players will experience fast-paced, competitive matches against different teams, which helps sharpen their skills in real-game situations.
Professional Coaching & Structured Development: Our expert coaches focus on individual growth and team dynamics, ensuring every player gets the tools to improve.
Build Confidence & Game Awareness: Competing against stronger opponents boosts decision-making, composure, and resilience on the field.
Prepare for the Next Level: Whether it’s travel soccer, middle school teams, or just growing as a well-rounded player, this program gives young athletes an edge in their soccer journey.
What is Futsal?
Futsal is a fast-paced, 5-a-side version of soccer played indoors on a hard court with a smaller, low-bounce ball. The smaller field and quick transitions mean players are constantly involved — dribbling, passing, defending, and making split-second decisions. With more touches and less time to react, futsal naturally develops first touch, quick decision-making, creativity, and composure under pressure — all essential skills for success on the outdoor field.
At DC Way Academy, we believe futsal is one of the best ways for young athletes to grow. It encourages players to think faster, move smarter, and play with confidence. The quick rhythm of the game helps improve coordination, awareness, and communication — all while keeping things fun and engaging.
What’s Included in the Program?
8 Training Sessions: Expert-led practices once a week on Fridays, focusing on technical skills, game strategy, and decision-making.
League Matches: Players will compete in the Alexandria Futsal League, facing off against teams from across the DMV area.
Mini Tournament Finale: The season wraps up with an exciting tournament-style event!
Professional Coaching: DC Way’s experienced coaches will guide players through every step of their development.
A Pathway for Growth: This program is ideal for players looking to improve their soccer abilities, build confidence, and prepare for higher levels of competition.
