Refund Policy
We understand that injuries, family emergencies, and schedule changes happen. So we've created a refund policy to accommodate families while also meeting our needs as a club and ensuring the best possible experience for our players. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adjusted our refund policy slightly.
All refund and credit requests must be submitted in writing to contact@dcwayacademy.org and are subject to review. Requests should include a date, the player's name, age, team, and the reason for cancelation. Refund and credit decisions will be made and processed within one week. If you are granted a refund, a credit will be applied to the card used to register.
The $300 registration fee and uniform payments are non-refundable. Only season fees are eligible for refunds and credits.
In order to receive a 100% refund of season fees (minus the credit card fee), cancelation requests must be submitted at least 14 days before the start of the season.
In order to receive full credit towards future seasons for the purchased amount, cancelation requests must be submitted between 7-14 days before the start of the season.
Cancelation requests submitted fewer than 7 days before the start of a season will not be considered for a refund or credit unless there is an emergency or unavoidable circumstance, as determined and approved by DC Way Academy staff.
Same-week cancellations will NOT be eligible for a refund or credit.
Children who do not attend season activities and do not submit a request prior to the start of the season will NOT be eligible for any form of credit or refund.
The administrator will consider a program credit if a player is injured or becomes ill during the season. A physician's note stating the player can no longer participate in activities may be requested in order for the credit to be granted.
Credits never expire and are non-transferable.

WEATHER POLICY
Per US Soccer recommendations, DCWA activities will generally be canceled if the temperature is above 92°F or with wind chill is less than 25°F at the start of practice time. Coaches will use their own judgment for holding practices which may include but is not limited to canceled or shortened practices. DCWA favors holding practices whenever is safely possible in order to accommodate those who prefer to train.
For our younger age groups, temperatures between 25°F and 30°F and between 90.1°F and 92°F may make a coach more likely to cancel or alter a scheduled training session.
