Thank You, DCWA Community
As we wrap up the fall season, we want to take a moment to say thank you.
Our Journey of Growth
This fall, 29 teams took the field. Over 300 games played. More than 110 games recorded and analyzed so our players could see their growth, understand their decisions, and keep getting better.
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
Behind those 300+ games were 382 players who showed up to practice, pushed themselves, and grew as athletes and teammates. Behind those 110+ recorded games were 21 dedicated coaches who invested their time, energy, and expertise into every training session and match. Behind those 180+ hours of training were countless moments of learning, encouragement, and development.
And behind all of it was you.
The Community That Makes It Possible
None of this happens without the DC Way community. The parents who rearrange schedules, pack the snacks, and drive across the DMV on weekend mornings. The families who show up on the sidelines, rain or shine, cheering on not just their own kids but every player on the team. The community that supports each other's kids like they're their own.
As one of our parents, Jay Jensen, put it: "Growth. Watching my kids improve and seeing the club evolve alongside them has been incredible."
That's what this is all about. Growth. Not just for the players, but for the club, the families, and the community we're building together.
What Development Really Looks Like
Development isn't just about wins and losses. It's about the game film our players watch with their coaches, learning to see the field differently. It's about the moments when a struggling player finally breaks through. It's about the friendships formed, the confidence built, and the love for the game that keeps growing.
This fall, our players gave 100% effort every game. Our coaches showed up with passion and commitment. And our families created the kind of supportive environment where young athletes can thrive.
Thank You
Thank you for trusting us with your kids. Thank you for supporting our coaches. Thank you for being the kind of community that makes DC Way what it is.
Here's to a great fall season. We can't wait to start the winter season soon.
