DCWA Fund: #GivingTuesday

For the first year ever, DC Way Academy will be putting together a #GivingTuesday campaign! Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a "global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world." It is an annual day of giving held on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. And this year, Giving Tuesday will be held on November 30, 2021.

On this global day of giving, we are on a mission to change lives using soccer! DC Way Academy is raising $30,000 for its scholarship fund to help continue its mission to deliver the beautiful game of soccer for free to as many children as possible. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, we strive to be active members in the Capitol Hill and Washington DC soccer community. Access to soccer, regardless of ability or economic status, is something all children deserve to have. Soccer is more than just a sport, it is a way for children to develop socially, intellectually, and creatively. A donation to DC Way Academy on #GivingTuesday will go directly into our new scholarship fund, which provides children in the DC area access to the beautiful game through our programs.

Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 for our DCWA Fund, a sum that would positively impact in-need youth. We are proud to have several players on scholarships already and recognize the need for more. With a donation to DC Way Academy this #GivingTuesday, you are doing more than just getting a child active. You are directly supporting the grassroots movement of soccer in the DC area. Supporting soccer players at every level grows a passion for the game in the District, but also produces more quality players, which can benefit the soccer community throughout the country!

You can start making a tax-deductible donation to DC Way Academy this #GivingTuesday and create change! It can easily be done through this link to our giving page. We are asking for one-time donations or monthly giving program pledges. Any little bit is appreciated and will go a long way within our community! Together we will change the rules of the game.
